The official Twitter account of the romance comedy series »Yuri is My Job!« (Japanese: »Watashi no Yuri Wa Oshigoto desu!«) was released today and announced that this will be implemented as an anime series. You can see a first visual and a teaser further down in this article.
The start date is still pending
The anime adaptation of »Yuri is My Job!« is being produced by Hijiri Sanpei (Assistant Director on »Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers«) at LINGS and Passione studios. The characters are designed by Taisuke Iwasaki (Key Animation on “Weathering With You”). Further details, such as the number of episodes or start date, are still pending.
It stars Yui Ogura (Onna Shinkan in »Goblin Slayer«) as Hime Shiraki and Sumire Uesaka (Shalltear Bloodfallen in »Overlord«) to be heard as Mitsuki Yano. Additional Japanese voice acting roles are set to be revealed at a later date.
Miman’s manga, on which it is based, has been published in Japan since November 2016 and has nine volumes so far. The publisher TOKYOPOP has been publishing the work in this country since 2018 under the title »Café Liebe« and has already brought eight volumes onto the German market.
Hime only has her popularity and her dream of a million on her mind. As she falls down the stairs, lost in thought, she accidentally injures classmate Mai’s arm. Since she can no longer do her job, Hime has to stand in for her as a waitress in the »Café Liebe« themed café. The other girls embrace her enthusiastically and already treat her like a member of their “sisterhood.” But can Hime make friends with her new role?
