Last December, Microsoft ended the refresh of Xbox 360 & OG backwards compatible games on newer consoles. After having delivered 694 titles, the firm has indeed come up against several obstacles in terms of rights concerning music, the voices of a software, etc.

But in the shadows, some were working on Insignia. A project to provide long-term support for all OG games and their online features. Yes, these fans will bring Xbox Live back to life. Anyone can take part in this adventure, but you have to register on the Insignia website. Invitations and instructions will be sent from November 15th.

The Insignia project will work on Microsoft’s first console or on a Xemu type emulator.
