X-Men: MCU fans will be disappointed

The X-Men are one of the most popular superhero teams out there, and many are clamoring for the presence of mutants in the MCU.

It’s been a long time since Marvel Studios “promised” the addition of the X-Men to the MCU even though mutants have technically already begun appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first being the character from the Miss Marvel series, Iman Vellani. Technically also Professor X who is played by Patrick Stewart is also part of the MCU after appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness even if it takes place on Earth-838 is in a different reality than that of the MCU.

The X-Men coming soon?

Following D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, Deadline reporter Justin Kroll tweeted some pretty bad news:

Speaking of X-MEN, this movie isn’t expected for a very long time, so outside of a screenwriter, it’s highly unlikely that any casting decisions will be made for this movie for some time to come.

Note, however, that the X-Men ’97 animated series is still scheduled to be released in the fall of 2023 and will not be affected by the film. Making fans wait may not be so silly and could allow Marvel Studios to gradually increase the pressure. One could, for example, imagine the studio continuing to make some mutants appear in its works, and unveiling X-men in due time once the pressure is at its maximum among the fans. Especially since with the series, it is very likely to see a member of the X-men land one day. In Miss Marvel, we already know that Wolverine is present in the universe.

In short, wait and see for the X-men in the MCU.
