Franck Gastambide will have to be inventive and determined to survive the infernal mechanics of “Without respite”. Remake for Netflix of the Korean film “Hard Day”, crime thriller crossed by comedy, “Without respite” arrives on the streaming platform on February 25, 2022.
Franck Gastambide, thriller promotion
Since 2010, actor and director Franck Gastambide has been charting his course at full speed. The Kaira, first in web-series then in film in 2012, a few small roles on the big screen, and the success Pattaya in 2016… Both in comedy and in more serious registers, Franck Gastambide has established himself in French production, in front of and behind the camera. Recently, his creation for Canal+ Valid definitely identified him as a personality to follow and a solid headliner. The announcement of the next broadcast of Tirelessly on Netflix, remake of the 2015 Korean film Hard Day, and in which he plays the leading role, is ultimate proof of this.
The film is coming to the platform February 25, 2022.
Tirelessly, a gripping thriller
The Koreans do nothing like the others, and it is in particular for this reason that their cinema is so precious. Hard Day told the story of a police commissioner, who accidentally knocks down a pedestrian on his way to his mother’s funeral. Panicked, he decides to hide the corpse, but a mysterious witness will blackmail him, while at the same time the police are investigating the disappearance of the pedestrian, who turns out to be a criminal… Between comedy and detective thriller, Kim Seong-hoon’s film was a success, brilliant in all aspects.
To make it the French remake with the Netflix logo, Régis Blondeau is in charge of the production, his very first. Franck Gastambide takes over the role held in the original film by Lee Seon-gyoon, and will therefore do everything to get out of a downward spiral. He is notably accompanied in the casting by Simon Abkarian, Tracy Gotoas, Jemina West and Michaël Abiteboul. We expect to find the ultra-inventive sequences and the breathless suspense of Hard Day, because Tirelessly is a faithful remake of it.
Can’t wait to see his first trailer, which shouldn’t be long!
