“Without identity” will resurrect on television. Indeed, the film carried by the star Liam Neeson, will be entitled to a spin-off in television series on TNT. The American channel is also a specialist in this kind of project.
Without identity : first collaboration between Liam Neeson and Jaume Collet-Serra
With Taken in 2008, Liam Neeson was starting a second career specializing in action films. However, it is really from 2011 that he multiplies the roles of old lone wolves who mercilessly beat his opponents. And it begins with a first collaboration with Jaume Collet-Serra for the needs of the feature film Without identity.
This adaptation of the French novel Loose my control (by Didier van Cauwelaert, published in 2003), follows Doctor Martin Harris who falls into a coma after being the victim of a car accident. When he wakes up, he learns that another man has taken his identity and seeks to delete him. He will then do everything to recover his own identity.
The movie sounds like the start of a regular working relationship between Liam Neeson and Jaume Collet-Serra, since the two men later reunite in the feature films Non-Stop, Night Run and The Passenger.
A television sequel… Without Liam Neeson?
According to Deadline, the series produced by Jaume Collet-Serra and Liam Neeson, will be a sequel to Without identity. She will therefore resume the events of the film by following a new main character. Sean Finegan will write the pilot episode, while Karl Gajdusek and Speed Weed will be the showrunners for this television sequel.
The film’s cast included highly rated actors such as Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, January Jones or even Frank Langella. Will we find them in this spin-off? Since the Irish star is also a producer of the show, a small appearance wouldn’t be illogical.
Note that this is not the first time that the TNT channel has embarked on derivative film series projects. Indeed, the media has also adapted films such asAnimal kingdom or even Snowpiercer. The two series are, moreover, still broadcast on the channel. Let us wish this spin-off the same longevity on TNT.
Regarding Liam Neeson, he will be in French theaters from August 4 in his new film Ice road.
