In MUBI’s September selection, exciting and award-winning productions that moviegoers have been waiting for for a long time will be showcased one by one.
In the September program, KERR won Tayfun Pirselimoğlu the Best Director award at both the Golden Orange and the Istanbul Film Festival; ONE SECOND, Zhang Yimou’s new film set during the Chinese Cultural Revolution; Can Merdan Doğan’s short STİLETTO with Nihal Yalçın and Murat Kılıç, which draws attention with its fresh humor; Naughty KIDS by Ahmet Necdet Çupur, who returned from Sarajevo with an award and was selected as the Best Documentary at the SİYAD Awards; JAZZ IN TURKEY by Batu Akyol, which tells the history of jazz music in Turkey; Kirill Serebrennikov’s political satire of the 2021 Palme d’Etat, PETROV GOT THE GOLD, and Costa Rica’s Oscar nominee CLARA SOLA by Nathalie Álvarez Mesén are just a few of the films that stand out.
