The series now has an official title since January, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. This title confirms the main plot in which the writers will be interested in the series: the forging of the rings of power during the Second Age of Middle-earth and, at the same time, the rise of a certain Sauron.
Several months before this broadcast, the subscription streaming platform revealed around twenty posters dedicated to the series at the beginning of February. Fans, however, are still waiting for a proper trailer. It shouldn’t take too long, the release date is fast approaching.

At the moment, Amazon Prime Video has not communicated much about the plot of the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. We know, however, when it takes place in the universe of the Lord of the Rings: in the heart of the Second Age of Middle-earth, a time when the famous rings of power were forged. For your information, the War of the Ring that can be seen in The Lord of the Rings books and films takes place during the Third Age of Middle-earth. When revealing the full series title, series showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay opened up about what fans will be able to experience: Rings of Power brings together all the main story arcs of the Second Age of Middle-earth: the forging of the rings, the rise of Sauron, Lord of Darkness, the epic tale of Númenor and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men. the series to show more about the other Rings of Power: “Until now, fans have only been able to see the stories of the One Ring on screen, but before there were any than one, there were many more…and we’re thrilled to be able to share their story.”
On Twitter, a card was uploaded by the official account of the Lord of the Rings series. It gives some food for thought on the lands that will undoubtedly be explored in the first season. One can discover there, in particular, the island of Númenor, where lives a very developed community. The series will undoubtedly be an opportunity to find the ancestors of Aragorn, Elendil, and Isildur, great kings of Gondor and Arnor but also Númenoreans.
Amazon Prime Video has revealed the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series in several bursts. In January 2020, the production officially revealed the names of fifteen actors who will participate in the series. There were some familiar faces because they appeared in particular in the Game of Thrones series. This is the case of Robert Aramayo, who camped the young Ned Stark in the flagship series of HBO, but also of Joseph Mawle who played the role of Benjen Stark, the uncle of Jon Snow.
