Our review
At L’internaute.com, we found that The menu served up an effective food thriller in its opening act, with some welcome social satire of the new elite. Unfortunately, the film loses its interest once all the workings of the scenario are revealed. The outcome becomes inevitable, and the stakes are lower for the viewer. What remains is a staging and a cutout modeled on the various dishes on the interesting menu which should particularly appeal to lovers of haute cuisine.
Synopsis – An upscale restaurant hosts a sumptuous tasting menu on a secluded island for hand-picked high-profile guests. But the chef has several shocking surprises in store for them.
