This is Annette, a crazy film presented by Leos Carax at the last Cannes Film Festival (it also won the prize for directing).
This Friday, February 25, 2022, this musical comedy particular was also nominated 11 times for the Césars (best film, best director, best actor, best cinematography, etc.). The soundtrack is signed by Les Sparks and takes the viewer on a unique journey. Like it or dislike it, Annette certainly does not leave indifferent.
For the needs of the last realization of Leos Carax, the actors themselves had to push the song. And surprisingly, the little girl who gives her title to the feature film is shown for a good part of the film in the form of a puppet, a symbol of the way her parents (and the world) perceive her. The doll was designed by French puppeteers Estelle Charlier and Romuald Collinet, in Charleville-Mézières.
