SPRING OF CINEMA. While cinemas are still closed in France, the holding of the Printemps du cinema is uncertain in 2021.
[Mis à jour le 01 février 2021 à 14h52] Traditionally organized at the end of March, the Printemps du Cinéma allows many moviegoers to take advantage of reduced-price screenings for a period of three days. At the present time, the organizers of Printemps du Cinéma have not used their official channels since the end of March 2020, either on social networks or on the official website put at half mast following the cancellation of the 2020 edition after the government decision to close cinemas in France. For the time being, dark rooms are still closed in France while the coronavirus pandemic is not under control in the country. The holding of the Printemps du Cinéma 2021 is therefore, for the moment, more than uncertain but there is no doubt that the organizers are following the evolution of the health situation with interest before making their decision. If the Printemps du Cinéma were canceled this year, it would therefore be the second year in a row that it would not take place. Note also that the Fête du Cinéma was canceled last year in July.
Usually, the Printemps du Cinéma is organized every year at the end of March for three days. At the present time, the organizers of the festivities have not yet communicated on the holding or not of the event. Indeed, this is conditional on the reopening of cinemas in France.
Printemps du Cinéma allows moviegoers big savings on their screenings with a traditionally single price of 4 € for each screening, for all films and in all participating cinemas. Note, however, that this offer cannot be combined with other tariff offers and that the supplements concerning films in 3D, in IMAX or special screenings must be paid extra of the 4 euros that the ticket costs.
