As fans fight a monstrous battle in Season 3, new Warzone 2 details have just leaked online. And the sequel to the famous battle royale will bring a lot of changes.
New leaks in perspective for Warzone 2. If its release is still a long way off, many new elements seem to have leaked. Activision-Blizzard would plan major changes, particularly in terms of inventory management and loadouts.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 would be inspired by Blackout
This new information, we owe it to the Youtubeur NerosCinema. If his name is unknown to you, the credibility of these leaks seems to be there since more serious sources like Tom Henderson and VGC heard (partially) the same from their side. However, the famous tweezers remain de rigueur. According to the videographer, Warzone 2 would take its cue from Blackout, the much-maligned battle royale of Call of Duty Black Ops 4.
Big changes would be expected on the structure of the gameplay. For example, the armor system would have been reviewed and it would now be necessary to equip yourself with a specific bag before hoping to recover armor. Likewise, the supply drop would have been redesigned to be closer to what Blackout was doing. Do not expect to have a package delivered to you for a few dollars. In Warzone 2 the most powerful loots will hide in “bastions”, fortified and more dangerous places. It would then be a question of objectives to be accomplished in order to recover its pre-recorded loadouts.
Other expected changes
Moreover, the weapons would only have 5 accessories in Warzone 2, against 8 currently. Much like Blackout, inventory management should also be a big part of this sequel, although the source didn’t elaborate on that. For the rest, the youtuber specifies that other Blackout mechanics could return to this battle royale, while the Highrise map from Modern Warfare 2 would return.
This new BR should also accommodate a training ground to be able to test its equipment. It remains to be seen if all this information is true and how it will all fit together. Perhaps the Summer Game Fest festivities will push Activision-Blizzard to come out of its silence and unveil this famous Warzone 2 as it should.
