Label offering short series in singular and radical formats and concepts (L’Effondrement, Narvalo, Neufs Meufs …), the Décalée Creation of Canal + offers in this VTC re-entry, a high-voltage closed-door led by Golshifteh Farahani ( Invasion, A Divan in Tunis).
Created by Sébastien Drouin and Julien Bittner, who also signs the production, VTC is both a thriller and the intimate story of a woman in search of redemption, who finds herself caught in a hellish race.
“I wanted to stage a symptomatic character From our era. A woman addicted to work, to the night, then gradually to amphetamines. The drug of the truck drivers, the one that allows you to go the distance“explains Julien Bittner.
“We quickly understand that the kilometers that Nora has covered each night have slowly widened the gap between her and her very young daughter. Nora got lost on the way. It is a well-known spiral to yesterday’s taxi drivers and to today’s chauffeured transport car drivers.“
Centered on its heroine, VTC takes place in a unit of time, during a night between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., and a unit of place: a vehicle from which one hardly ever leaves, using a control device. meticulous filming executed in just twenty nights.
A beautiful exercise in style supported by a heady soundtrack composed by Max Guiguet (Blundetto), and which rests entirely on the shoulders of Golshifteh Farahani, magnetic and full of darkness in the role of Nora.
Facing the Franco-Iranian actress, Vincent Heneine, Gringe, Doudou Masta, George Aguilar and Nicolas Phongpheth make up the cast of this Décalée Creation, broadcast in two different formats: one unit this evening at 9 p.m. on Canal +, or five episodes of 20 minutes to be found on the myCANAL platform.
