The psycho-police series “Visions” continues to be broadcast on TF1. Viewers are closely following the investigation led by Louane and Soufiane Guerrab. In addition to this disappearance case, this new program reveals magnificent landscapes. We tell you more about the filming locations.
Visions : a mysterious series!
Series Visions broadcast on TF1 offers a very different universe classic detective series. This time, no serial killers, chases, or corpses. This is indeed a terrible story of disappearance. That of a little girl, Lily, who is missing the night of his mother’s birthday party.
Immediately, everyone starts looking for her, but she is nowhere to be found. Romain (Soufiane Guerrab), freshly arrived in the local police brigade, must lead the investigation. For this, he gets help from his wife, Sarah (Louane Emera), who is a child psychologist. Together, they will try to find clues thanks to the young Diego, who seems to see what no one sees…
The first episodes of the series have already won over a large part of the public. The mysterious and heavy atmosphere that emerges from this new program has found its audience. Indeed, with 3.44 million viewers for its launch on May 16, 2002, TF1’s fantastic new mini-series took the lead in audiences.
Sumptuous landscapes
Series Visions is directed by Akim Iskier to whom we owe the moving TV movie Nobody’s Child. Viewers will find Jean-Hugues Anglade, but also Léon Durieux and Julien Boisselier. Little Diego’s mother will be camped by Marie-Ange Casta and the stepfather by Max Boublil. Other characters are present, interpreted in particular Robinson Stévenin, Sophie Cattani or Anne Marivin.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, the investigation takes place in the countryside, under the summer sun, in a bewitching setting, both beautiful and disturbing. On the screen, the heat seems heavy, and the cicadas keep singing. No doubt, it was in Provence that the filming of Visions. But in which small village does this mysterious affair take place? Soufiane Guerrab, Louane’s sidekick in the series, was completely won over by this setting:
It was in the south, in Forcalquier and around Aix-en-Provence. The decor was fabulous! It allowed me to discover the south in another way, far from the coasts and the seaside. We are lucky to have a country that has exceptional places. It was a very nice experience, with all the actors who spent a lot of time together, outside of filming, in these magnificent landscapes.
A typical village
Filming for the miniseries wrapped on August 13, 2021, and took place for the most part in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Thus, the different characters stroll through the town of Forcalquierin its streets, but also in its school as well as in its main squares.
Other towns are highlighted, such as Volx, Digne-les-Bains, Les Mées and Montagne de Lure. The police brigade will survey the territory in search of the missing girl. It is in the density of this countryside yellowed by the blazing sun that the investigation will therefore take place, punctuated by the song of the cicadas.
