Tom Hardy will remember the filming of “Venom” as he had to go to the pool table twice for treatment following an accident. He was also unable to rest for long because the shots of the second opus arrived quickly.

Venom : a disappointment but a financial success

Sony has decided to usher in its extended universe around Spider-Man with Venom. A cult villain in the comics, who has become an anti-hero for the purposes of this project. The role returned to Tom Hardy, in front of Ruben Fleischer’s camera. Greeted with enormous reservations by audiences, the film nonetheless had a dapper theatrical career with a global box office climbing to $ 856 million. Regardless of the mixed returns, Sony retains this financial data and was quick to embark on a sequel. Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis, with Woody Harrelson who will oppose Eddie Brock as Cletus Kasady / Carnage. The latter was already introduced at the end of the first part, leaving little doubt that a sequel would be started.

Venom recounted how reporter Eddie Brock was infected with the symbiote and had to deal with his sharp-toothed alter-ego. The film did not find the right balance between a humor thought to be cool and a slightly dark atmosphere (but not too much either, to respect the PG-13).

An intense shoot for Tom Hardy

While we wait for the release of the suite on October 20 in France (it has just been moved to October 15 in the United States instead of September 24), Tom Hardy has returned to Esquire on the set of Venom by revealing that he had given of himself. An accident occurred during the shooting, resulting in an injury to the knees. He still continued to play his role until the end, gritting his teeth. It was only after the end of production that he was able to have the operation.

To realize the damage, you have to understand that he was forced to suffer two operations. Everything went very quickly since he only had eight weeks of rest before going back to coal to film Venom: Let There Be Carnage. He said he had time to get back into good physical condition and was able to ensure this sequel. She was so close to his heart that he was also involved in the conception of the screenplay.
