This is how the first Venom, directed by Ruben Fleischer, was born. A film not particularly received positively by the public and the press, but which nevertheless garnered $ 856 million at the global box office. The sequel, titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is directed by Andy Serkis. Tom Hardy continues to play the lead role when he comes face to face with Woody Harrelson in Cletus Kasady / Carnage. The villain was introduced during the post-credits scene of the previous opus and he will take a central place in this new plot.

A new trailer for the film has just been released by Sony and it highlights its new antagonist. We can see the meeting between Eddie Brock and him, as well as how the latter is voluntarily infected. thanks to a bite. The character’s spirit is preserved. Whether it’s in the form of Cletus or Carnage, he looks like he really has a mental problem. Its transformation phase is also well shown and the trailer does everything to highlight it as much as possible.
We see it so much compared to the previous one, that he comes to really steal the show from his opponent, who is most often content to be in the center. not very inspired comic springs. We remember that Venom had wanted to make the character cool through humor. The sequel insists on this but still fails to produce the desired effect. It will also be noted that Shriek, played by Naomie Harris, reveals herself more, although one waits to see how she will be used in the story – logic would dictate that she is in the camp of Carnage.
The film’s release in France is still scheduled for October 20.
