Adapted from the British series “Criminal Justice”, which then gave birth to “The Night Of” on HBO, the police drama “Une si longue nuit”, with Mathilde Seigner, is already available on Salto, before its broadcast soon on TF1 .
After Sissi, the series event of this end of the year, of which the six episodes are already available on Salto before the launch on TF1 this Thursday, the novelty My Angel with Muriel Robin, or the new season of Sam, it is at the A tour of the police and judicial drama Une si longue nuit to be offered in preview to subscribers of the platform as of today.
Expected in the course of the first half of 2022 on TF1, Une si longue nuit, led by Mathilde Seigner, is none other than the French adaptation of the British series Criminal Justice, which has already been entitled to a remake in the United States in 2016 on HBO under the title The Night Of, with John Turturro and Riz Ahmed in the lead roles.
This six-part thriller written by Clothilde Jamin (Balthazar) and Nicolas Clément (HPI), and directed by Jérémy Minui (Grand Hôtel), tells the story of Sami (Sayyid El Alami, seen in Messiah), a quiet 20-year-old student who lives with his parents in the residential suburb of Marseille. One evening, he takes his father’s taxi and meets the mysterious Gloria, with whom he spends a magical night. But when he wakes up, Gloria is dead, brutally murdered.
Sami is arrested at the scene of the murder. And for Jeff (Jean-Pierre Darroussin), the cop in charge of the investigation, he is the ideal culprit. Fortunately, Sami’s path crosses that of Isabelle (Mathilde Seigner), a whimsical and disillusioned criminal lawyer who agrees to defend him. She becomes his only chance to get out of it. But one question remains. Is Sami guilty? Is he innocent? And basically, does it matter at all?
