


On the official site the anime adaptation of »Uncle from Another World« (Japanese: »Isekai Ojisan«) was released today announcedthat the broadcast from the eighth episode onwards will be paused indefinitely due to COVID-19 infections at the AtelierPontdarc studio.
Simulcast is also paused
This month, reruns of episodes 3 to 6 will be shown on Japanese TV instead. A new date for the broadcast of the further episodes will be announced at a later date. The simulcast on Netflix is also affected by the break. The series had to be paused a few weeks ago due to COVID-19 infections.
»Uncle from Another World« is being produced under the direction of director Shigeki Kawai in the AtelierPontdarc studio. Kenta Ihara is in charge of series composition, while Kazuhiro Oota is responsible for character design and serves as chief animation director.
Hotondo Shindeiru’s original manga has been published on the Web Comic Apanta website since June 2018. So far, eight volumes have appeared in Japanese trade. The US publisher Yen Press has been publishing the work with an English translation since June 2021.
