Uncharted, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, is in cinemas on Friday, February 11th!
‘Uncharted’ Star Tom Holland Eyes On Another Video Game Adaptation
Uncharted, based on the popular video game of the same name, hits theaters this Friday. The film stars Tom Holland, who is fast becoming a star as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man. The film, in which Holland will play Nathan Drake, the hero of the games, will tell about the previous period of the story told in the games, Drake’s youth. The film also stars names such as Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Antonio Banderas.
The dream of Tom Holland, who loves to play Uncharted and who answered Uncharted years ago when asked which video game he would like to play in the movie, came true. But the famous actor has now set his sights on another video game. Holland wants the video game “Jak and Daxter” to be made into a movie.
Published by Naughty Dog, the game “Jak and Daxter” was a game series that followed a trilogy of games released on the Playstation 2 between 2001 and 2004, followed by several spinoffs. It came at a time when many studios were trying to produce platform games with mascot characters that could be the PlayStation version of Nintendo’s Mario. The “Jak and Daxter” series focuses on a young human character named Jak and his friend Daxter, an alien weasel-otter hybrid.
It’s an odd choice that Tom Holland chose “Jak and Daxter” as the next game he wanted to play in the movie adaptation. But Holland’s interesting idea does not end there. Holland wants this movie of his dreams to be brought to life by A24, which stands out especially with its independent horror films and pushes the limits of creative freedom.
“I would love to make a Jak and Daxter movie and play Jak.” “But I wanted the movie to be an A24 movie so it would be really weird and dark. I would like to shoot a really weird and dark live-action version of Jak and Daxter,” said Holland. The next time will show whether there will be a production company that listens to this strange request of Tom Holland.
