For several days in Un si grand soleil, Clément Becker (Yvon Back) has been investigating a sordid case of the murder of a manager of the Opéra de Montpellier.
A case that brings back painful memories and old resentments to the police commissioner since the main suspect is none other than Tristan Chapuis (Alain Bouzigues), the man who broke up his marriage twelve years earlier.
As Janet (Tonya Kinzinger) and Clément prepare to unite with each other, Claudine (Catherine Wilkening), the ex-wife of the police officer, debuts in Montpellier to defend Chapuis, her former lover. What to thwart the plans of the bride and groom.

At one hour before the ceremony, the commissioner, who is very worried about not succeeding in reaching his ex-wife, leaves precipitately without warning Janet to go to Chapuis’ home.
At the same time, Tristan places Claudine in the trunk of his car after having knocked her out to prevent her from informing the prosecutor of her confession. When Clément arrives, he pretends annoyed not to know where she is.
Fortunately, Becker ends up understanding what is going on and discovers his ex-wife unconscious in Chapuis’s vehicle. While he is arrested by the police, Clément accompanies Claudine to the hospital, leaving Janet alone in front of the altar.
