CLAUDINE TRIUMPH ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL
Manu shows Commissioner Becker the video which proves that Tristan Chapuis was not at the Opera at the time of Lauren Viel’s death. These images having been authenticated by the scientific police, his innocence is no longer in doubt.
Clément then contacted the prosecutor Bernier to inform him of the progress of the investigation but he was already aware because Claudine had warned Judge Alphand of the existence of these new elements. As the killer is still at large, the police must do everything to find him. For his part, Manu is terribly angry for having almost sent an innocent person to the Assizes.
Excluded, Tristan invites Claudine to dinner to thank her, but she declines. Subsequently, he is interviewed by Lucille. Happy to be able to resume his duties as director, Chapuis does not hesitate to accuse the police of having carried out an investigation into the charge.
At the end of the day, Claudine waits for Clément at the exit of the police station. The latter having taken this matter personally, she comes to think that her ex-husband still cares about her. Only, he replies that this is not the case and even goes so far as to launch that he can not wait for this story to end to see her leave Montpellier. Disappointed, Claudine returns to the office and bursts into tears while looking at a photo of her and Clément.
ALICIA REQUESTS EVE’S HELP TO AVOID TROUBLE IN GASPARD
Her son having put himself in a delicate situation, Alicia asks Eve for help despite the tense relationship they maintain. Uncomfortable, she then tells him what happens to Gaspard.
Without delay, Eve calls Eliott and accuses him of having dragged her brother into his schemes. In vain does he explain to him that everything is Gaspard’s fault, Eve does not care and asks him to leave his brother out of his stories. Refusing that her son put the life of the young man in the air, she then suggests that Eliott withdraw his complaint and then accuse himself in his place. When he points out to him that he risks going back to prison, Eve urges him to find another solution.
For his part, the boss of AMC Portage overheard part of their conversation and is trying to find out if all is well. Eliott then confesses that he is not on very good terms with his mother before taking the opportunity to offer her to meet a potential client who might interest him. What he accepts.
Right after, Eliott calls the prosecutor to tell him that he may have a way to trick his boss, but in return, he wants her help to avoid criminal prosecution.
Subsequently, he meets Alicia and promises her that Gaspard will have no problem with justice. Indeed, Eliott intends to take on himself all the responsibility but also to find a solution for the overdraft of 10,000 euros. In exchange, however, he needs his ex-mother-in-law to bring down the boss of AMC Portage for money laundering. Although she has no desire to play the informants, Alicia agrees.
Later, Eliott goes to the police station and makes Élise believe that he lost all this money playing on the stock market and then pretends to have accused Gaspard because he imagined that he was not risking much as a minor. After contacting the prosecutor, the policewoman informs him that he will not be brought in.
Warned by Brigadier Borel, Alicia announces to her daughter that the prosecution against Gaspard has been dropped thanks to Eliott. If Sam is relieved, however, she wonders what her mother did in return. Alicia confirms that she has come to an arrangement with her former son-in-law but refuses to tell him more at this time.
