COLETTE PASSES TO CONFESSIONS
In the morning, Thierry takes several photos of the Gentons’ car. Shortly after, David is summoned to the police station where Alex shows him the pictures of the vehicle. For the medic, there is a resemblance to the car that ran into him but he is not sure. Until the police can question the suspect, Alex asks David not to tell anyone.
For her part, Maryline helps Colette to empty her husband’s belongings when the police arrive and place her in police custody. At the station, Lieutenant Lévy explains to Colette that a person was almost run over on Monday evening and that she identified his vehicle. Information also confirmed by video surveillance images from the hospital. As Colette certifies that she was at home that evening, Alex pulls out her medical file. Admitted several times for head trauma, dislocations, contusions or even bruises, the police officer also notes that his last visit to the hospital earned him ten days of ITT.
If she claims to be simply clumsy, Colette remembers in parallel the images of her husband being aggressive towards her. When Alex seeks to know if she was a victim of domestic violence, Colette answers no before specifying that Bernard was a man appreciated by all. However, the policeman interviewed the couple’s neighbors who all told him that Bernard was a violent man and that they often heard screaming, arguing as well as screaming coming from their home. Nothing helps, Colette remains silent.
During this time, Maryline tries to join the latter but without success. Since Colette lost her husband, Maryline finds her strange and has the impression that she is hiding something.
At the end of the day, Becker pushes Colette to confess. With her back to the wall, she ends up telling the police about the hell she lived with her husband. At the beginning of her story with Bernard, everything was going well and Colette was in love. Then he changed, becoming violent from the alcohol. He would then put himself in terrible states by passing his rage and his frustrations on her. Every day, Bernard would beat her, put her down and then apologize before starting over. Colette tried to leave him several times but it was driving him crazy. Over time, Colette finally found herself completely isolated.
Lila Marquant’s death was the last straw. Indeed, Colette could not bear that her husband witnessed the aggression of the young woman without lifting a finger. When she read the articles that talked about the witness curse, she saw the opportunity to get rid of him once and for all.
CAMILLE GETS COLD WITH SERGE
Since Camille caught them making love, Serge is particularly embarrassed. To make up for it, the lawyer suggests that the three of them have dinner together. Happy to be able to officially present her daughter to the man who now shares her life, Laetitia accepts with pleasure.
Subsequently, she contacts Manu and asks for his agreement so that their daughter comes to dinner at the house in order to present her new companion. Seeing no objection, the policeman informs Camille, but she makes a face. The young woman then joins Kira and tells her the whole story. The latter, who knows Maître Levars well because he was Jonathan’s lawyer, warns her friend that he has a very bad reputation.
Later, Laetitia apologizes to her daughter. While Camille says she is surprised to see her go out with the lawyer who defended Jonathan, Laetitia assures us that Serge is very nice. Despite everything, Camille has doubts. And when Serge arrives, the teenager is particularly cold, so much so that during dinner, she ignores them, spending most of her time sending messages to Kira.
At the end of the meal, Serge asks her forgiveness and tries to get to know her. Unfortunately, Camille begs him to stop playing before indicating that her best friend is Florent’s adopted daughter. Exasperated, Camille leaves the table.
