The doors of Carmen Arranz school are opening again! The cult Spanish series “Un Dos Tres” will make its big comeback on television. And according to initial information, some iconic characters will return.
Un Dos Tres: back to the 2000s
More than a decade before the arrival of La Casa de Papel on our screens, another series from Spain had created excitement on our channels. Her name ? A Very Back (A Paso Adelante in original version). Aired on M6 between 2004 and 2005, the plot takes place on six seasons, was interested in the daily life of a performing arts school in Madrid. This prestigious brand was named after its charismatic director: Carmen Arranz.
The episodes followed the adventures of students and teachers. It was obviously a question of love and friendship, between two dance lessons. The main characters were Lola Fernandez (Beatriz Luengo), Pedro Salvador (Pablo Puyol), Roberto Arenales (Miguel Angel Munoz), Marta Ramos (Dafne Fernandez), Silvia Jauregui (Fanny Gautier), Ingrid Munoz (Silvia Marty), Adela Ramos ( Natalia Millan), Juan Taberner (Alfonso Lara), Diana De Miguel (Beatriz Rico) and Cristobal Soto (Victor Mosqueira).
A revival is in the works!
In the world of series, fashion is more nostalgic than ever. And the returns of cult series. In recent years, many shows have made their comeback, and Un Dos Tres is no exception.
Indeed, as revealed by the Spanish site Formula TV, a return of the Spanish series is planned. The audiovisual group Atresmedia, owner of Antena 3 (original broadcaster of the program) is currently working on a revival. The watchword is to return to the original universe, with the intention of attracting both new viewers and fans of the series.
This project is called UPA Next, (the initials of A Paso Adelante Editor’s note) and will take place again in Carmen Arranz’s school. The plot will revive what made the success of the original series, namely the stories of love and friendship between teachers and students. Casting level, Atresmedia has confirmed that some of its “most iconic characters” will return. We must therefore expect to see Lola, Silvia, Pedro and Roberto return to the dance halls of the Carmen Arranz school! Maybe as teachers?
