While waiting for the third season of Amazon Prime Video’s dark and funny superhero series “The Boys”, information about the fourth season started to come.
Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher in the series, hints that production will pick up pace and end in the fourth quarter of 2022. “We’re shooting ‘The Boys’ by the end of the year.” said.
There is no official announcement for the fourth season of the series yet. The Boys is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Point Gray by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, with Amazon acting as the distributor. While announcing the news of a new “Star Trek” movie, which was a surprise announcement at a Paramount investor’s day recently, Urban provided information on the timeline.
Urban also talked about the upcoming Star Trek project, saying, “I haven’t seen the script, I don’t know anything, but I would love to work with those guys again. It will be a lot of fun and the best. We’ll see.” The rest of the cast will likely include Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Simon Pegg.
Urban joins the studio with “The Boys” showrunner Eric Kripke and actors Laz Alonso, Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and new talent Jensen Ackles. Former “Supernatural” star Ackles made waves in the new trailer as the “Captain America” type hero Soldier Boy believed to be in captivity after the WWII wartime era. Season 3 of “The Boys” premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 3rd.
