Wesley Snipes and Kevin Hart become brothers in “True Story”, a drama miniseries slated to hit Netflix next November. The platform has just revealed the date of uploading as well as the first images.
The return of Wesley Snipes?
Wesley Snipes had his heyday in the 90s and then in the early part of the following decade. He is remembered in some rather pleasant B series, but especially in the costume of Blade. This role of vampire hunter is probably the best of his career and one that he is still remembered for. Despite a few appearances in films, it has been much more discreet for a while.
Like his friend Eddie Murphy who has also been less present in recent years, he stood out in Dolomite is My Name on Netflix. It is on the American platform that we will also be able to see him soon in the series true story. A drama during which he will share the poster with Kevin Hart. The latter, despite a controversy because of which he was deprived of presentation of the Oscars in 2019, is in a good phase of his career. He also recently made talk about him on Netflix with An outstanding dad.
The first images of True Sory
The limited series is talked about through the first images unveiled by Netflix. On each shot, we can see the two main characters together, proof that they will be the nerve center of the story. It will take place in Philadelphia and will narrate the passage of Kid (Kevin Hart) in his hometown. This actor is going to find his older brother with whom he was no longer in too much contact. An evening in his company will drag Kid into a downward spiral and threaten to destroy everything he has been able to build.
true story should still be a reflection on fraternity, blood ties and the need, sometimes, to emancipate oneself from one’s own in order to find one’s own path. We will probably be able to follow Wesley Snipes in an emotional role, where he will have to push his talent as an actor and show what he has in the gut. While he’s a decent actor in action cinema, he doesn’t have great credentials with deep roles.
Netflix will unveil a trailer in the coming weeks. The episodes of true story will be uploaded on November 24.
