A new trailer has been released for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which will continue the story of the 1974 horror movie classic The Texas Massacre directed by Tobe Hooper. It is also possible to see the chainsaw killer “Leatherface”, who has become a horror movie icon over the years, in the trailer.
Directed by David Blue Garcia, the film follows Leatherface, who has been in hiding for nearly 50 years, when he returns to frighten a group of teenagers who accidentally disrupt the carefully guarded little world of a remote Texas town.
The cast of the film includes names such as Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Nell Hudson, Jacob Latimore, Olwen Fouéré, and Alice Krige. Leatherface is played by Mark Burnham. Gunnar Hansen played the character of Leatherface in the original movie and gave a memorable performance.
Fede Alvarez, who wrote the script of the movie, underlines that the killer we will watch in the movie will be the same person as in the original movie, and says: “In our opinion, this man has probably disappeared after all he’s done. How do you catch a man with a mask? When he takes off the mask, it’s up to him to hide somewhere. It’s easy. This story will take him back so many years after the original story. Leatherface has been in hiding for a long time, trying to be a good person. But these young people who come to this town will wake the sleeping giant.”
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is on Netflix on February 18!
