LD Entertainment shared the trailer for The Cursed (Eight for Silver), the horror movie written and directed by Sean Ellis, and announced that the movie will be released on February 18. Having made its world premiere nearly a year ago, at the Sundance Film Festival on January 30, 2021, the film was later screened at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain and the Camerimage International Film Festival in Poland.
The film, directed by Oscar and BAFTA nominee Sean Ellis, tells a story that takes place in the late 1800s. Boyd Holbrook, who starred in films such as Logan and The Host; Kelly Reilly, whom we watched in films such as Pride and Prejudice, Sherlock Holmes, and Alistair Petrie, who played in films such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Rush.
Synopsis: John McBride (Boyd Holbrook) is a pathologist tasked with finding out whether a 14-year-old boy whose body was found in the woods was killed by a human or a monster. Hearing the news, Seamus Laurent (Alistair Petrie) and his wife Isabelle (Kelly Reilly) decide to host the pathologist at their home. The couple shares with John that their son, a friend of the deceased child, has also been missing for two weeks. Enraged and afraid of her daughter’s disappearance, Isabelle is somewhat relieved by John’s arrival. John must face the fears of his dark past before solving the mystery.
