LG’s C1 series models are some of the best OLED TVs out there. No matter the size: You can always rely on a visual spectacle. So look forward to series like “Star Wars: Andor” or “Stranger Things” in crisp 4K.
Thanks to the LG campaign at MediaMarkt, the 55-inch version of the C1 is now available at the lowest price of €999. That’s a 50% discount compared to the RRP and another €100 less than the cheapest offers of the last few months.

The C1 relies on the proven OLED panel and offers excellent image quality thanks to self-illuminating pixels with the deepest blacks you can currently get. The Alpha 9 processor ensures fast signal conversion and, in combination with four (!!!) HDMI 2.1 connections, also makes the C1 interesting for gamers.
With this equipment, the OLED TV from LG displays images in 120 Hertz and is therefore ready for the latest generation of consoles. Thanks to the variable frame rate – called VRR for Variable Refresh Rate in LG jargon – the input lag is just under 10 milliseconds. You can even use the C1 as a 4K monitor for your gaming PC.
This almost eliminates the question of how the C1 performs in home cinema. But again, there’s no real reason to complain. 4K content is brought to the screen in all its glory with HDR and Dolby Vision support. Only the competing format HDR10+ does not support the OLED TV. But since even Amazon Prime Video has now switched to Dolby Vision, the lack of the format is hardly significant.
You navigate through the smart TV menus with the new operating system WebOS 6.0, which is becoming more and more reminiscent of Android TV and Google TV. So you always have everything in view and can customize the design and arrangement of the apps. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Rakuten TV can be selected at the touch of a button on the remote control. You can give the C1 instructions with Alexa and the Google Assistant.
The OLED TV from LG also surprises with the sound and offers decent sound in view of the thin construction. The possibility that separate Bluetooth speakers can be used as rear surround speakers is particularly interesting.
