While containment is expected to continue at least until mid-May, the playoffs will still be there to keep you occupied. We take stock of new products and current series to be discovered on Netflix, Canal +, OCS, Amazon or Warner TV.
Hollywood – from May 1st on Netflix
The story : In post-WWII Hollywood, a group of ambitious young actors and filmmakers will stop at nothing to break into showbiz.
Why watch: Quite simply because it is about Ryan Murphy’s new creation, which has always known how to offer atypical series, with a distinct style. Seeing him go on Netflix in a showbiz show in the late 1940s is intriguing.
Rick and morty season 4 part 2 – from May 4 on Adult Swim
The story : Rick and Morty continue their adventures across the worlds ….
Why watch: Rick and morty quickly became a cult animated series, and each episode is a real visual journey rich in themes. After the first five episodes of season 4 broadcast at the end of 2019, the last five are particularly expected.
The Eddy – from May 8 on Netflix
The story : Once a famous New York jazz pianist, Elliot Udo is now the boss of The Eddy, a club that has seen better days. He conducts an orchestra there where the singer Maja, who is also his occasional girlfriend, performs. As Elliott discovers that his partner Farid is arguably involved in a dubious affair, other secrets come to light that Amira, Farid’s own wife, was unaware of …
Why watch: Because it is about Damien Chazelle’s first foray into serial format. The director rose to fame with Whiplash and La La Land, and he intends to continue in the musical field with The Eddy.
The story : The fate of two twin brothers, Dominick and Thomas Birdsey, in America in the second half of the 20th century.
Why watch: Here again we find for a series a particularly interesting filmmaker in the person of Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pine). And under the leadership of HBO, we are entitled to expect a great moment on the small screen. At last, Mark Ruffalo should deliver a pretty remarkable double performance.
The story : A twenty-year-old, intelligent but asocial, is suddenly able to know the thoughts of the people around her. These take the form of songs. Some are even musical hits.
Why watch: With Zoey and her incredible playlist we have Series feel good of this month of May. A colorful musical that deals with various themes such as the issue of bereavement, the relationship to illness or simply romantic relationships, but always with a benevolent and positive outlook. And if only for its musical numbers, we warmly recommend this series.
The 100 season 7 – from May 20 on CW (US)
The story : Last season of The 100 which will focus on Octavia’s disappearance, on the Anomaly and with a potential clash between Wonkru and Sheidheda.

Homecoming season 2 – from May 22 on Amazon Prime Video
The story : After following the story of a therapist who worked in a center helping soldiers to reintegrate into society, this season 2 will focus on another character played by Janelle Monae, who wakes up one day on a boat in the middle of a lake without knowing how it got there …
Why watch: Because the first season had been a great discovery, offering a real homage to the paranoid and depalmian thriller of the 1980s. We are therefore curious to see if season 2 will continue in this same style or propose a totally different direction.
Space Force – from May 29 on Netflix
The story : This comedy series by Greg Daniels with Steve Carell follows the team responsible for creating the Space Force, a new branch of the United States military.
Why watch: Because The Office is one of the best comedy series. We therefore expect a lot from this new creation carried by the duo Greg Daniels (creator) / Steve Carell (actor), especially since the universe of space should once again offer moments of anthology.
