Top 10 Agatha Christie Adaptations

“Death on the Nile”, the second Agatha Christie adaptation of master filmmaker Kenneth Branagh, which has a total of 8 Oscar nominations in the categories of acting, directing, and screenplay, takes its place in cinemas this Friday.

The screenplay of the movie, which is adapted from the novel of the same name by Christie, one of the world’s most famous crime writers, was written by Michael Green. In the director’s chair, Branagh plays the character of the famous detective, Hercule Poirot, as in the 2017 movie “Murder on the Orient Express”. The rich cast of the movie also includes names such as Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand.

With murders that seem inextricable at first glance, limited spaces where people from different worlds gather together, and surprising endings, Agatha Christie’s detective stories have always been among the stories that the cinema and television world always love to adapt to. While Christie’s cult works such as Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile, And Then There Were None have been adapted for the screen and television many times; Dozens of different actors played the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, created in 1920 and famous for his mustache.
