REBECCA IS RELEASED
At the police station, Rebecca explains having pushed Xavier out the window because he had discovered that she was her father’s mistress. Furious, he allegedly accused her of being responsible for his death before attacking her violently. As she was afraid he would hit her, Rebecca would then have pushed him away and Xavier would have fallen out of the window. Although they don’t believe her story for a second, Martin and Aurore take her into custody.
The next morning, Chloe visits Raphaëlle and her daughters to support them. If Maud and Camille feel that she deserves prison after what she did, Raphaëlle refuses to believe that she could have wanted to kill Xavier. Chloe, who is still in shock from these revelations, reminds teenage girls that the most important thing is that their father is alive and out of danger.
Later, Sébastien tells his daughter that Rebecca refuses to hire a lawyer. Her father refusing to come to her aid, Raphaëlle accuses her of wanting revenge for the harm she has done him. She may beg him to play his relationships, Sebastien remains unmoved and reports that Rebecca is guilty of attempted homicide.
Raphaëlle then joins Anna for a new session. Although she is now aware of Rebecca and Daniel’s affair, the lawyer feels that a piece of the puzzle is missing. In fact, the more she gets to know her mother, the more Raphaëlle tells herself that it is impossible for her to leave just because of this story. Anna therefore encourages him to have a discussion with her.
Meanwhile, the police accompany Rebecca to Xavier’s office for a reenactment. The singer then claims that Xavier was facing her when she pushed him out the window. A version that does not hold water since the latter fell face down on the ground.
At the post, Commander Constant receives a visit from Raphaëlle. Since she cannot have access to her mother’s file without being her lawyer, she feigns headaches so that Martin can get her paracetamol and read the documents on the sly. On her return, Raphaëlle begs him to let her see her mother for a few minutes. What he accepts. But while discussing with her, Raphaëlle is the victim of a new absence. Indeed, she keeps repeating that she will protect her and that she never wants to be harmed again.
A few steps away, Aurore and Martin agree that Rebecca is trying to cover Sébastien. However, they do not understand why she would denounce herself in his place. In the immediate future, Commander Constant is under an obligation to release Rebecca because he has no evidence against her. For her part, Rebecca is not happy to be released and screams scandal. When leaving the place, she calls her daughter but without success.
Indeed, Raphaëlle is at Xavier’s bedside and tries to suffocate her while she is in the grip of another absence.
DORIAN HELPS LIZZIE FIND A JOB
To finance her singing lessons, Lizzie decided to find a job. When he finds out, Dorian promises to keep her posted if he hears about anything. Faced with the smile she wears, Jack quickly understands that his sister has fallen under the spell of their comrade.
While walking at the Christmas market with Noa, Dorian comes across Judith who is running a stall. As she is overwhelmed, the teenager offers to hire Lizzie. Back in high school, he announces to his friend that he managed to get him an interview with the Delcourt girl.
When he sees Camille in the backyard, Dorian interrupts his conversation with Lizzie to check on his girlfriend. While he would like to take her home to spend time with her, Camille declines and explains that she has no head for that.
Annoyed, Dorian later confides in Lizzie. Even if he understands what she is going through, he begins to wonder if Camille cares about him. Lizzie, who can’t stand seeing sad people, then starts singing “Allouette, nice lark”, which immediately makes her smile.
