KARIM IS ARRESTED
Somewhere, a stranger writes Jim Irving’s name in a notebook before crossing it out in red, then writes down the name of his next victim: Karim Saeed.
Meanwhile, the medical examiner performed Jim’s autopsy. According to him, the journalist died around 6 p.m. from a violent blow to the head. Given the circumstances, Commander Constant is obliged to summon Karim. A few kilometers away, a mysterious person breaks into Karim’s home and spills blood on one of his jeans before throwing it into a ball under his bed.
For her part, Raphaëlle informs Anna that Jim has been killed. In shock, she feels slightly uneasy. As she has not eaten since her arrival in prison, Raphaëlle encourages her to hold out, especially since the journalist’s death is now a game-changer. Convinced of his innocence, the lawyer urges him to trust him.
At the police station, Karim is heard by Commander Constant. Although he is overwhelmed by many elements, the policeman swears that he did not kill Jim. Fearing that his colleagues are too involved and lack perspective, the prosecutor Meffre relinquishes the Sète police station of the investigation in favor of the judicial police of Montpellier. In addition, Xavier orders Karim to be taken into custody. Martin then promises not to let go and swears to find the real culprit.
Later, two police officers arrive at the police station to take over. While searching the home of Karim, they discover a jeans stained with blood as well as photos of Jim and many searches concerning him in his computer. For the police, therefore, there was a premeditated murder.
After lab analyzes, there is no longer any doubt that the blood found on the garment belongs to Jim. Karim tries to convince his interlocutors that it is a set-up, the prosecutor charges him with premeditated murder.
At nightfall, Karim leaves the police station handcuffed and prepares to spend his first night in prison.
BÉNÉDICTE AND DORIAN ARRIVE AT THE DAUNIER
Étienne having gone to sea to act as the skipper for American tourists, Bénédicte and Dorian no longer have a place to sleep. William therefore offers to accommodate them for the necessary time and realizes that his sister had already planned everything since their suitcases are already in the car. When Aurore says she is pleasantly surprised by this change in behavior, William replies that he wants to be a little cooler with Bénédicte.
Nevertheless, William’s good intentions are quickly put to the test when Bénédicte jumps at the slightest opportunity to reproach him for his bad habits. A situation that amuses Aurore a lot.
At the end of the day, William suffers from stomach aches while talking to his wife. While it is possible that he is suffering from a simple inflammation of the intestine, it is also likely that it is a reaction to the criticisms of his sister.
LEO IS OUT OF DANGER
Despite the treatment administered by the doctors, Leo’s state of health remains worrying. However, Doctor Ventura assures us that they are all mobilized around the little boy to keep an eye on him.
At the same time, Marianne takes advantage of a coffee break to tell Victoire all the good she thinks of Doctor Ventura. She then explains to the young woman that their colleague has stayed at Leo’s bedside for the past two days without ever losing his temper.
For their part, the Roussels are waiting for news from Léo. Fortunately, Benjamin is the harbinger of good news since his fever has finally subsided. Very moved, Audrey takes the doctor in her arms and thanks him warmly. Without waiting, Audrey, Jordan, Lizzie and Jack enthusiastically go to the little boy’s bedside.
Faced with the emotion, Jordan goes out to get some fresh air and then lets himself go. Seeing her comrade in tears, Jahia immediately thinks that something bad happened to Leo. Jordan then specifies that his brother is out of danger but confides that he was very afraid of losing him. If he’s embarrassed, Jahia says she doesn’t mind him crying and then kisses him tenderly.
