Victoria Abril has landed in the daily soap opera “Tomorrow belongs to us”. She plays Rebecca, Raphaëlle’s mother, who came straight from South America. The Spanish actress said she was exhausted by the filming, which was very intensive. But that in no way taints the love she has for her character, which she intends to reinterpret!
Tomorrow belongs to us : the famous spanish star arrives in the soap opera
The Spanish actress Victoria Abril, well known for her various roles in the films of the famous director Pedro Almodovar, is back in France. During eight seasons of the series Clem, she played Caroline, the mother of the heroine. Very busy with her various projects in Spain, Victoria Abril did not don’t hesitate for a second before accepting the role of Rebecca Flores in the daily soap opera Tomorrow belongs to us.
So she embodies this declining diva who returns to France to recover, at all costs, his daughter Raphaëlle (Jennifer Lauret). Camille and Maud’s grandmother abandoned her daughter thirty years ago. She will therefore do everything to reconnect with her. Of course, Rebecca brings with her some heavy secrets that promise a lot of twists and turns. For 20 episodes, fans of the series will be able to follow his crazy adventures. The four weeks of filming were very trying for the actress who had to comply with hellish pace of the daily soap opera.
Victoria Abril is amazed by the work of her colleagues
Indeed, Victoria Abril was entitled intensive filming. She indulged in this subject in the columns of TV 7 days :
It is true that we go five times faster than for another series. I shot twenty episodes in four weeks and thought I was dying of fatigue, physical and mental. That represents sixty hours of work per week, sixty pages of dialogue to memorize the weekend for the following week.
The actress takes her hat off to the teams of the series who provide hard work to keep up with this pace:
I do not know how they have managed to keep up with this pace for four years. 250 episodes per year, do you realize? This is madness !
Anyway, the actress was overwhelmed by this experience and she was touched by the different winks of the writers made to the character she played in the film High heels. Very invested in her role of Rebecca, the actress has therefore put her projects in Spain on standby to devote herself body and soul to her character who already misses him terribly. She admits to having become attached to Rebecca who is a solar person with many facets. Since filming ended, the actress had a serious blow of the blues, she therefore hopes that her character will please and that viewers will claim her again!
There is no doubt that the interpretation of Victoria Abril will be unanimous among fans of the soap opera. The episodes of the daily series Tomorrow belongs to us are broadcast every evening on TF1 at 7:10 p.m.
