On the occasion of Christmas Eve, Mona (Catherine Benguigui) will fall in love with “Tomorrow belongs to us” for … Victor Brunet (Farouk Bermouga)! A new plot full of comedy for an impossible love story?
While the end-of-year celebrations will be marked in Tomorrow belongs to us by the return of the Moreno children, the long-awaited reconciliation of a couple emblematic of the series, and the discovery by Martin of his kinship with Nordine, the magic Christmas could also offer us one of the most improbable pairs in the history of the soap opera.
Indeed, as revealed an unpublished extract from Demain belongs to us Unveiled in preview by TF1, Mona Caron (Catherine Benguigui) will have a real love at first sight during the episode of Friday, December 24. And the identity of the new man of her dreams is surprising!
Abandoned by Georges (Mayel Elhajaoui), who preferred to spend New Years Eve with his girlfriend, Mona has apparently found refuge with Gabriel (Martin Mille) and Noor (Sahelle De Figueiredo), where she prepares Christmas dinner in company of the latter, Soraya (Kenza Saïb-Couton), and Timothée (Grégoire Champion). And she does not lose an opportunity to criticize Vanessa, the new companion of her son.
“Vanessa is a witch, she turned her head completely”, she laments before Soraya advises her to give Georges some time to come back to her. But nothing helps, Mona does not take offense. “Time? You’ve got plenty of you. I’m not eternal. Besides, I wanted to be a grandmother. It’s not with that big asparagus that it’s going to happen. Finally, I hope!”.
A hot topic of discussion which is fortunately interrupted by the arrival of Victor Brunet (Farouk Bermouga), who knocks on the roommate’s door and has obviously also been invited to join Noor, Soraya, and Timothée for Christmas. And seeing him arrive in his Santa Claus costume, Mona literally falls in love.

As he descends the stairs and takes off his beanie and then his fake beard, Mona devours him with her eyes, a smile on her lips. And the hearts of her Christmas sweater begin to light up and blink, proof if it was still necessary that her heart is now beating for Timothy’s father. But can a love story really arise between these two characters who are completely opposed?
Not sure, even if everything is possible in Tomorrow belongs to us. However, one thing seems to be taken for granted: Georges’ mother will stop at nothing to conquer Victor Brunet.
As revealed by the synopses of the next episodes unveiled by TF1, Mona, “in love, is determined to get closer to the man who interests her” and “invests fully in the quest” of this man. So much so that she will obviously try to find him a job at Agnès Varda high school.
But Mona’s feelings may well not be shared by Victor since, in the January 6 episode, he “will try to get rid of an admirer”. A task that is probably easier said than done.
In any case, the idea of following Mona’s (impossible?) Amorous quest during the next episodes of Tomorrow belongs to us already appears to be the best news of this end of the year!
