Absent from “Tomorrow belongs to us” for several weeks, Artemisia Toussaint (Solenne), Antoine Cohaut (Ben), and Chris Bedes (Aurélien) will not return in the series according to artistic producer Marc Kressmann. For the moment anyway.
In recent months, at the dawn of a season 5 rich in novelties and changes, the departures have followed one another in Tomorrow belongs to us on TF1.
The viewers of the daily soap opera carried by Ingrid Chauvin indeed had to say goodbye to Clémentine (Linda Hardy) and Ulysse (Sébastien Capgras), tragically dead, to Lou (Rani Bheemuck), or to Morgane (Marie Catrix), Sandrine (Juliette Tresanini), and Arthur (Théo Cosset), left to start a new life in Guadeloupe – even if Juliette Tresanini will be back soon for an arch centered on Victory.
Departures that have obviously often pained fans of Tomorrow belongs to us, who had become attached to these characters over the years. And which are, in part at least, linked to the need to make room for new characters, since the series welcomed in this fall 2021 Charlotte Gaccio, Jennifer Lauret, Emmanuel Moire, and Thaïs Kirby. Before the upcoming arrival of Xavier Deluc and Victoria Abril in the role of the grandparents of Maud and Camille Meffre, and Alexandre Varga in the shoes of a new doctor.
“We had to make a little room to welcome new characters, because there were real desires”, recently confided to us Marc Kressmann, the new artistic producer and collection director of Demain belongs to us as part of the Séries Mania festival.
“And for other characters, we had come a bit to the end. But a lot of things had already been done before I got to the series. The death of Odysseus, for example, with Amanda. Amanda had this tragic side. , we had the feeling of having reached the end of our story. And Clémentine, of course, it was a shock, but again it was not me, it was decided long before. But it made a great plot”.

No return planned for Solenne and Ben Girard
If many departures have now been confirmed, the fate of certain characters, who were “absent” for some time, still remain in suspense. Like Ben (Antoine Cohaut) and Solenne Girard (Artemisia Toussaint), who left for Garches this summer for the needs of Solenne’s rehabilitation. And unfortunately, the return of these two characters is not planned. For now anyway.
“For now, no, Ben and Solenne are not coming back”, confirmed Marc Kressmann in an interview. “Just like the Couturier family by the way (Mathilde Lebrequier, Elisa Nivez, Mogamed Bechiev, editor’s note). They were really great, but they were more like part of an ark”.
And to believe the statements of Marc Kressmann, it was becoming complicated for the authors to keep Ben and Solenne in the series after the tragedy experienced by their family and the imprisonment of Sacha (Renaud Roussel) for the murders of several women, including Clémentine and Vinciane.
“Ben and Solenne no longer have parents, their story was very marked by drama. And we had these new young people arriving, we had to make some room. I understand that all these departures can hurt viewers. , but this is a new season, you have to see it as a restart of sorts. So at the moment they are not expected to return. But everything is possible in Tomorrow is ours. “.

Aurélien stays in Greece
The two teenagers are not the only ones to have said their goodbyes to Tomorrow belongs to us in a “discreet” way since Marc Kressmann has also confirmed to us that Aurélien (Chris Bedes), the son of Louise (Alexandra Naoum), left to join his father in Greece, would not return to Sète either. “Aurélien remains in Greece for the moment“.
As the series collection director explains, these departures coincide with the arrival of many new young people in Tomorrow belongs to us, like Jordan, Lizzie, and Jack Roussel, Dorian, Jahia, or Nathan. . Who join Camille, Maud, and Mathilde, on whom a greater focus now seems to be operated, within high school intrigues, in a whole new school setting which already promises to be the scene of many stories to come.
