On the occasion of the broadcast of season 2 of Euphoria, the actors and the teams reveal on their social networks many photos of filming. And it seems, according to fans, that a certain Tom Holland slipped into one of them.
During the filming of season 2 of Euphoria, being broadcast in US + 24 on OCS, Tom Holland was a great support for Zendaya, his partner in the Spider-Man trilogy and the heroine of the series of Sam Levinson.
These new episodes are decidedly darker than the inaugural season, and the Emmy Award-winning actress needed a strong shoulder by her side, as she explained to E! News : “He supported me a lot. It’s not an easy season, so I needed him as much as possible.”
The actor even came to the set several times to be close to her and support her. And set photos posted by Siyon Foster on instagram have ignited the canvas recently. Some fans are sure they saw Tom Holland in the background behind Zendaya in one of the snaps.
Even if it is difficult to determine with certainty that it is indeed the interpreter of Spider-Man, – who has not confirmed this hypothesis for the moment -, this silhouette resembles him enough for that fans are speculating about a potential appearance of the actor in the series, for which Zendaya has also campaigned.
Tom Holland wants to star in Euphoria!
During the promotional tour of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland had expressed his desire to play in the HBO series by Sam Levinson. During a Q&A with fans by IMDb, the British actor had made a foot call:
“Listen, I’ve been asking for this for a long time and it hasn’t happened yet. I’m very disappointed. I’ve visited the crew on the set of Euphoria at least 30 times this season.”
A request that made Zendaya laugh and thrilled her: “I know. We should have tried to create a little easter egg and put you in the background. […] Let me talk to a few people! HBO, let’s talk on the phone.”
If this nice little promo sequence makes you smile, you can’t help but wonder if Tom Holland didn’t finally hint subtly that he might appear very stealthily in season 2 of Euphoria.
It remains for fans to keep their eyes open, and if not, to wait for a potential season 3 to hope to see it appear in the HBO series. Either way, the rest of the Euphoria cast are all set for Spider-Man to make a small cameo on the show, according to their statements in a new interview for IMDb.
Sydney Sweeney (Cassie) thinks they have “I really need Spider-Man to save the day because it’s shit at Highland High School”. For his part, Nika King, who plays Leslie, Rue’s mother, thinks he could intervene in a “fantasy sequence”, which Sam Levinson could very well create as he has already been able to do before in the series.
