The American actor Tom Hanks, to the poster of “Finch” on Apple TV +, has just revealed which are the three films which he had preferred to shoot in his prolific career. And it is quite surprising!
Tom Hanks in nostalgia mode. The actor just revealed during the Bill Simmons Podcast which are the three films he had preferred to shoot during his rich career, which spans more than four decades. Not his favorite films strictly speaking but those which left him the best memories of shooting, which gives a rather surprising list where you will not find Forrest Gump for example!
The 65-year-old American, showing Finch on Apple TV +, quotes the Wachoswki’s science fiction film Cloud Atlas, an ambitious work not really well received but that he loved to shoot. “We were part of this massive reunion of fantastic people who were just trying to do their best on this deep movie.”, declares the actor. “This movie was so deep it was magical to do it.”
Tom Hanks reveals that he also enjoyed filming Robert Zemeckis’ Alone in the World. “We were in the middle of the ocean”, remembers the actor. “We were in Fiji and my whole family was by my side. Filming was an everyday adventure.”
Finally, the two-time Oscar winner quotes the sports comedy An Unusual Team, in which he plays a baseball coach. Why does he have fond memories of this experience? Quite simply because the film, which sees him give the answer to Geena Davis and Madonna, allowed him to indulge in this sport for an entire summer!
