A couple of walkers had the chance to come across Tom Cruise, while he was shooting a spectacular sequence for “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2”. The star made herself available for a few photos. And this seemingly anecdotal event may say a lot about the end of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1″…
Has Tom Cruise ever rested?
The days go by and look alike for Tom Cruise. With the difference that his routine consists of producing great action films and, to do this, performing stunts himself, each crazier than the next. A great lover of thrills, he never misses an opportunity to jump in free fall, pilot and climb on planes, rush and jump on a motorcycle… In short, Tom Cruise doing Tom Cruise, for his greatest happiness and that of his fans. Most recently, while filming in the UK Mission: Impossible 8 (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2), the eighth opus in the saga begun in 1996, it made the day of several walkers by stopping near them and allowing them to immortalize the encounter.

“He was nice, polite, and really humble”
As Lucie Hinch and Adam Wheeler, accompanied by their dog, walk around the Lake District in the north-west of England on Tuesday September 13, they are intrigued by two helicopters and a paraglider descending a rock face. A paraglider dropped by a helicopter at the top of a mountain slope, then another who evolves next to the paraglider during his descent.
An operation repeated several times. It is rumored among several walkers that it is Tom Cruise in the middle of filming. Lucie Hinch and Adam Wheeler therefore decide to wait. And finally, after an hour of waiting, it is Tom Cruise who is heading towards them. The meeting, reported by The Northern Echodelighted the couple, who had their photo.

- He was nice, polite and really humble. Tom Cruise apologized for the noise caused by the helicopters and asked how we were doing. He made sure anyone who wanted a picture with him got it. (…) We joked about the fact that we had waited for him for an hour, then that we had left and finally returned to see him. He laughed and thanked us for coming back.
Any indication of the transition between M:I 7 and M:I 8?
The actor, at the height of his career with the immense success of Top Gun : Maverick, is not the easiest to follow. And meeting him in this way has everything of a rare privilege. But this encounter also perhaps, in spite of itself, gives an indication of Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8. Indeed, these two films, two parts of the same story, will directly link their adventures.
The first trailer for Mission: Impossible 7 (above) left us with the actor jumping off a motorcycle from the top of a cliff, wearing a black jumpsuit, like the one he’s wearing in the photo above. It is therefore highly permissible to hypothesize that the paragliding sequence shot on Tuesday could be the direct sequel of this waterfall. And so what Mission: Impossible 7 would end with Tom Cruise jumping into the voidand Mission: Impossible 8 resume directly when his parachute opens?
A very conceivable transition, especially since it would then be the perfect definition and illustration of a cliffhanger…
