Of Top Gun at the Patrouille de France
Now 60, Tom Cruise continues to impress the world with his ever more dangerous and awe-inspiring stunts. As we know, the actor is eager to perform a large number of his stunts himself, which has given him a unique reputation in Hollywood. It must be said that between Impossible missionthe recent Top Gun : Maverick or his future film in space, Tom Cruise seeks to constantly surpass himself and offer viewers the best action scenes possible.
And obviously, the antics of the actor aboard his fighter plane in Top Gun : Maverick gave ideas for the Air and Space Force. Indeed, to salute his prowess and his talent as an airplane pilot, the French Air Force gave Tom Cruise the status of member of the Patrouille de Franceon an honorary basis.

This announcement was made on the occasion of the second edition of the Congress of Fighter Aviation, organized by the Air and Space Force in collaboration with the association of fighter pilots. A unique event which brought together nearly a thousand French and foreign pilots. Stéphane Mille, Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force said on Twitter on November 18:
A new honorary member has joined the community of French fighter pilots.



In the middle of filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part 1, Tom Cruise could not go to Le Bourget, where the second edition of the Congress of Fighter Aviation was taking place. He nevertheless has expressed his gratitude from South Africa, in a video shared by the Chief of Staff Air and Space:
I am deeply honored and proud to accept to become an honorary member of the French fighter pilot community. I had the privilege of meeting the Patrouille de France and witnessing a wonderful flight in the sky of Cannes last summer. We all share an absolute passion for the love of flight and its freedom.
The star also paid tribute to the “talent” and “commitment” of the pilots of the French patrol:
It is a real privilege for me to be part of your team.
