


On the Twitter account the anime adaptation of »Tokyo Revengers« was released today announcedannounced that the second season of the series will be broadcast on Japanese television from January 2023. A first teaser and a visual can be found further down in this article.
Sequel with old team
The sequel, which adapts the »Christmas Showdown Arc« (Jap.: »Seiya Kessen-hen«), is again being directed by Kouichi Hatsumi at LIDENFILMS. Yasuyuki Mutou is back in charge of the script, while Keiko Oota and Kenichi Oonuki are once again contributing to the character designs.
The 24-episode first season of Tokyo Revengers aired on Japanese television between April and September 2021. In Germany, the Crunchyroll streaming service offers all episodes with German and Japanese voice output on demand.
The series is based on the manga series of the same name by Ken Wakui, which started in March 2017 in Kodansha’s »Shuukan Shounen Magazine« and has 28 volumes to date. The publisher Carlsen Manga has been publishing the work with a German translation since March 2022.
