On the day of its release, 429 spectators were present at the 9am screening of Les Halles to discover the new adventures of Peter Parker. For this first day of theatrical release, all sessions combined, the action film had the best start in France since July 2019 with 476,494 admissions, which is more than the two previous films with Tom Holland in the title role. .
This is no surprise, so much Spider-Man: No Way Home was eagerly awaited by the fan community. Due to the many super-villains of previous franchises featuring Spider-Man announced in this film, many Internet users were hoping to see again Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the film. Don’t read on if you want to keep the surprise on Spider-Man No Way Home. The cast of the film has always refused to answer or denied outright when asked about the presence or not of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the cast. Fans will however have the good surprise to find the actor of the franchise of Sam Raimi, but also that of The Amazing Spider-Man in the cast of Spider-Man No Way Home. The two former incarnations of Peter Parker are present to lend a hand to the character of Tom Holland to beat the bad guys of the old films. However, we will not reveal more about the plot and their importance in the blockbuster.
After many twists and turns and reveals, Spider-Man: No Way Home concludes with two post-credits scenes that not only open up a whole new realm of possibilities for Spider-Man, but the rest of the MCU as well. If you want to keep the surprise, don’t read the rest of this article. The first takes place after the post-credits scene of Venom 2. It features Eddie Brock, in the skin of Venom, who comes from another universe and who was snapped up like the other villains of the film. Quickly, the character played by Tom hardy returns to his world, but mistakenly leaves a piece of the Venom symbiote on the bar counter where he is seated. We can then understand that Venom will certainly be the big villain of the next Spider-Man film, but that he could be played by an actor other than Tom Hardy.
The second post-credits scene isn’t really one, since it’s actually a trailer. The first trailer for Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness is unveiled at the very end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The opportunity to discover the MCU wizard facing the multiverse. In his quest, he will be aided by Wanda and will even find himself confronting an evil version of himself. Serial fans will probably have already discovered it if they have watched the series What if …?, Released on Disney ++.
What villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
As we have discovered in the trailers, Peter Parker will face villains from the old franchises of Spider-Man in No Way Home. The hero played by Tom Holland will therefore discover the following bad guys: Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx), The Lizard, Sand-Man or even The Green Goblin. For the latter, who has been played in the past by Willem Dafoe and then Dane Dehaan, it seems that it is the actor of the franchise with Tobey Maguire who is back, according to IMDB.
Where is Spider-Man: No Way Home in the MCU?
With the many movies and series now populating the MCU, it’s hard to fit into the Marvel timeline. Remember, however, that Spider-Man: No Way Home is located just after the end of the second part of the adventures of Tom Holland, Spider-Man: Far From Home. In the post-credits scene of this one, villainous Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spider-Man’s true identity. No Way Home is therefore located directly after these events, but also several months after Avengers: Engame.
