Initially planned in cinemas, “Those who want my death” finally arrives directly on Canal +. A thriller with Angelina Jolie desperate to save a young boy pursued by killers.
The story of Those who want my death
Directed by Taylor Sheridan, Those who want my death follows the character of Hannah Faber, a Montana firefighter who has not recovered from the failure of a previous rescue mission. Now officiating on a fire-fighting watchtower, one day she sees a young fleeing teenager in the distance. After welcoming him, she understands that he is the witness of his father’s murder and that those responsible are in pursuit of him to eliminate him in turn. Hannah will then do everything to rescue the young boy. But for that, he will need face your own demons, armed men, and the flames who are starting to ravage the forest around them.

Those who want my death wants to be an effective and old-fashioned thriller. We feel a style specific to the 1990s with an improvised heroine ready to do anything to save an innocent young man, and in the obligation to put his own problems aside to face adversity. Nothing revolutionary, but the promise of a muscular and dynamic film.
Angelina Jolie and the others
The primary interest then obviously remains the presence of Angelina Jolie in the lead role. The actress is no longer to present, even if she was less present on the screen in recent years. We can therefore only rejoice to find her in a leading role which owes above all to her charisma.
At his side, we find well-known faces. This is the case of Jon bernthal, who was the Punisher of Netflix, Nicholas houl which was from the last X-Men movie, orAidan Gillen, the Littlefinger of Game Of Thrones. In the midst of all this beautiful world, the traumatized teenager is played by Finn Little.
Finally, remember that Director Taylor Sheridan This is not his first experience behind the camera. First a screenwriter for the very good Sicario (2015) and Comancheria (2016), he then directed himself Wind river. Those Who Want My Death is his third feature film.
A release finally on Canal +
Originally, Those who want my death had to go out in cinemas. It was announced a time for May 26. But with the Covid pandemic, distributors have had to make many changes in their line up. Those who want my death is therefore part of these films and its release was simply canceled. A bad for good for Canal +.
