Pending its release on July 13, 2022, “ Thor : Love and Thunder” is unveiled through a superb new trailer that reveals more about Jane Foster, Zeus and even Gorr, the godslayer played by Christian Bale.
Thor : Love and Thunder – the return of Jane Foster
After Thor :Ragnarokfilmmaker Taika Waititi is back behind the camera to direct Thor : Love and Thunder. It must be said that with Ragnarok, he had succeeded in dusting off the character of Thorlocked in a forbidding seriousness which had reached its paroxysm of nullity in Thor : The world of darkness. With over $853 million in revenue at the box office, Thor :Ragnarok was therefore a success on all counts.
Taika Waititi is therefore back behind the camera to tell the new adventures of Thor(s) in inspired by Jason Aaron’s iconic comics. A story in which Thor no longer has his divine powers and becomes Odinson. Mjolnir is then recovered by Jane Foster who therefore becomes the new goddess of thunder in place of Odin’s son. A story that seems to be taken up faithfully by Taika Waititi in view of this latest trailer.
A great trailer
A new trailer that offers more space for Jane Foster. The latter finally interacts with Odinson, who then recalls that it makes It’s been 8 years since Natalie Portman returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), in addition to his cameo in Avengers :Endgame. The two characters have not crossed paths since the events of Thor : The world of darkness in 2013.
This new trailer also provides more screen time for many other characters. For example, the Valkyrie will obviously play a central role in the plot and will even confront the powerful Gorr.
These unpublished images also offer a new look at Russell Crowe as a mischievous Zeus and prankster who will test Odinson’s skills within Olympus itself. At last, this explosive trailer stops on the terrible Gorr and his quest for vengeance against all the gods, without exception. To avenge the death of his family, Gorr, played by Christian Bale, wants to destroy all the gods of creation. The actor seems to offer once again an impressive performance in the skin of a character with a sober aesthetic, sublimated by a superb make-up.
Taika Waititi seems to have in store for his fans a final confrontation filmed in black and white of great beauty. At last, the most observant will have noticed Nebula and Drax in action. We leave you with this new trailer while waiting for the release of Thor : Love and Thunder next July 13.
