Thor Love and Thunder: new photos from the set appear

“Thor: Love and Thunder” promises to be one of the most exciting films of the year 2022. To tease the wait, new photos from the set appear, showing in particular Chris Hemsworth and Nathalie Portman more in love than ever in the skin of their respective characters.

Thor: Love and Thunder: It’s gonna be Gorr!

Launched in 2010, Thor’s solo adventures have been slow to gain acceptance by the general public. Indeed, if the performance of Chris Hemsworth in the skin of the God of Thunder has never really been called into question, his first films have, however, not convinced everyone. Starting with the first two components which are far from having attracted the favor of the public. And that’s an understatement.

Fortunately, Taika Waititi joined the Marvel team to direct in 2017 Thor: Ragnarok. With a unique style, able to go from absurd humor to drama in the blink of an eye, the New Zealand director quickly made his mark for his first American blockbuster. The critical and commercial result spoke for him: $ 853 million in global revenue, which makes Ragnarok the shutter of Thor the most successful. Unsurprisingly, he came back behind the camera (and also in front since he interprets in motion captures the character of Korg) to compose the fourth film of the God of Thunder: Thor: Love & Thunder.

If we know that the film will take place after the events ofAvengers Endgame and before those of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the plot is still partially known. We just know that Russell Crowe will be in the film in the skin of Zeus. As for the antagonist, Thor will be dealing with Gorr, the Slayer of Gods, camped by Christian Bale. Additionally, Nathalie Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster and is even expected to gain the powers of the God of Thunder. Not to mention that some Guardians of the Galaxy like Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) or even Nebula (Karen Gillan) will drop by to say hello during the film. It promises.

Flashback in preparation?

After the photos of Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman or even Christian Bale, it is again the turn of the respective interpreters of Thor and Jane Foster to be seen on the set of the film Marvel. The two lovebirds seem to have changed their minds since they are walking arm in arm in the street. We recall, in fact, that in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, the God of Thunder suggests that he is no longer in a relationship with the pretty scientist. These pictures, would they suggest that they are back together?

It could also be that this sequence is just a flashback to an event that took place during the first two Thor films, when they were still in love. Thus, Chris Hemsworth appears with his body type before Avengers: Endgame, when he had not yet gained overweight. His human clothes as well as his long blond hair are also present, while for the latter, he had cut it in Thor: Ragnarök. Would this sequence be shot with the aim of explaining to us why Thor and Jane Foster broke up, while they were having true love afterwards? Thor: The Dark World?

We will have to wait a few more months to get answers to our questions. Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in our cinemas on February 11, 2022.
