Mary Elizabeth Kelly makes the buzz with her videos
The advent of social networks has not only good sides, but at least it has the merit of discovering talented people, all over the world. In recent months, Mary Elizabeth Kelly, a young American, has made the buzz on the web thanks to her talents as an unparalleled imitator. Indeed, she frequently posts videos of her imitating celebrities – mostly actresses.
She doesn’t just film herself imitating them, but asks Internet users to challenge her in relation to her imitations. So, she imagines what it would be like to see Emma Stone, Hugh Grant, Tina Fey, Winona Ryder or even Christopher Walken, meet a dog in the street. And it’s hilarious.
In another video, Mary Elizabeth Kelly imagines Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Garner, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett or even Hugh Jackman imagining recipes:
In another, she imagines celebrities stuck in traffic jams. Once again, it is very successful.
Thank you for confinement
Some of her videos have been watched millions of times, and Mary Elizabeth Kelly was even interviewed last May on the famous show. The Morning Show.
She said she had been doing imitations since childhood to amuse her family, and then took acting lessons. But that it was really during confinement that she had started working on her imitations, and posting them on her social networks. She mainly focuses on celebrity mouth movements, and their manners. She said it all started when she watched Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp and noticed that the actor was moving his mouth in a strange way.
