Already widely revealed to the public, season 2 of “The Witcher” continues to be approached with a new long trailer that does not skimp on the action. The Netflix series is raising the hype while waiting for its return next December.

The Witcher has paid off for Netflix, as the series became the platform’s most watched for a period of time, before being supplanted by The Bridgertons Chronicle then by Squid Game. On paper, the adaptation of famous books and, by extension, video games, was a great promise. Because the base material is rich and exciting. But the fear of witnessing a stampede was also present.
We have seen that Netflix has treated this project seriously, mobilizing good resources and spinning the lead role to star Henry Cavill. The latter therefore lent his features to Geralt de Riv, famous Witcher who roamed the regions of the Continent. We also got to see Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra become Ciri and Yennefer, two very important female characters in the universe. After the success of season 1, there is quite naturally a real hype around the second, which arrives on December 17 on the platform.

The show looks honorably conducted, with monsters, action scenes, and a thickening plot. We could hear some complaints about the narration, precisely, during season 1. Some regretted a confusion in the script arcs. We should have a story conducted in a more classic way this time, without neglecting the ingredients that we expect.
Visually, we feel that Netflix is making money and wants to offer a convincing show in line with the writings of Andrzej Sapkowski. We also understand that Ciri will become a central figure around whom a lot of things will play out.
