The first comparison video of The Witcher 3 on PS5 and Xbox Series with the original version of the game (2015) is there. The result is quite impressive.
The Witcher 3 will get a makeover on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series starting December 14, 2022. The free upgrade to the next-gen was revealed last night during a stream dedicated and the first images left little room for doubt: the graphic leap forward is obvious. It only took a few hours for a first comparison to appear on the Web to show us the extent of the changes.

The first comparison of The Witcher 3 on PS5 and Xbox Series with the original version is there. The opportunity to discover the extent of the graphic improvements of this completely free upgrade for players of the old generation of consoles and PC. Textures and models in 4K, ray tracing, 60 frames per second mode, photo mode, cloud saves, gameplay improvements, this new version will offer a whole arsenal of changes aimed at making the game more beautiful but also more pleasant to take in hand.
It is moreover on this first point that it is expected at the turn. So is this upgrade a real technical leap forward? The comparison video of the day does indeed show a game brought up to date while the original was clearly beginning to show the effects of time. The textures of all the characters (main, secondary and enemies) have been reworked, as have the animations and facial expressions revised upwards to make the cast more believable. We will obviously have to wait to be able to get our hands on this PS5 version and Xbox Series of The Witcher 3 to get a final opinion but it’s very promising.
