Expected on Amazon Prime Video for November 19, “The Wheel of Time” adapts the novels of Robert Jordan and promises to be one of the series events of the coming months. Discover the first images.

The Amazon streaming platform seems determined to find its Game Of Thrones. With The Lord of the Rings series on its way for September 2022, Prime Video is launching The Wheel of Time this year, a 6-episode adaptation of the fantasy novel series written by Robert Jordan. Composed of 14 volumes, this literary saga has already sold more than 90 million copies worldwide.

Carried by showrunner Rafe Judkins, screenwriter, among others, of the series Chuck and Marvel: Agents of SHIELD, the fantastic program rests on the shoulders of a heroine, played by Rosamund Pike. The actress, nominated for an Oscar for her role in Gone Girl, interpreter Moiraine, member of Aes Sedai, an organization of women in power. As she begins a journey surrounded by five young men and women, she is convinced that one of them is the reincarnation of a powerful being capable of saving or destroying humanity.

On screen, Rosamund Pike gives the answer to Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins (Black Christmas), Sophie Okonedo (Ratched), or Álvaro Morte, the Professor of the Spanish phenomenon La Casa de Papel. Available from November 19 on Amazon Prime Video, the series The wheel of time is already renewed for a second season.
