Brendan Fraser is making a comeback with The Whale
To see him overwhelmed by the ovation received by The Whale at the Venice Film Festival 2022, we understand that the cinema had missed a lot in Brendan Fraser. And that he too had been missed by the cinema, by the people who make it and by those who watch it. If he was not rewarded on the Lido for his great performance in The Whale – Colin Farrell having been recognized for The Banshees of Inisherin -, it was none the less admired and celebrated for his role as Charliea man weighing 272 kilos, isolated and addicted to food, and who is trying to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter.

“The Whale” is the redemption story of a guy named Charlie. He’s been through a lot of upheavals in his life and he’s forgotten who he is and who he loves, and he doesn’t have much time left to tell them he loves them… But he has a super- power, Charlie can see the good in others, when they don’t see it in themselves.
The Whale will be released in cinemas in France on February 22, 2023.
