Jeffrey Dean Morgan spoke about the evolution of the relationship between his character Negan and Maggie in the eleventh season of “The Walking Dead”, to follow on OCS in US + 24 from Monday, August 23!
The Walking Dead returns to OCS on Monday August 23 for the launch of its eleventh – and final – season! Among the events expected in the epilogue of the horror series, the reunion between Negan and Maggie is obviously at the top of the list!
As a reminder, Glenn, the young woman’s husband, was brutally murdered by Negan at the opening of the seventh season of the series; then leader of the Savior clan, the latter has since started a way of the cross to redeem himself from his faults, by participating in particular in the fall of Alpha and the defeat of the Whisperers.
Now on the side of the good guys, Negan has not yet made the other characters in the series forget his past acts, and especially his rival Daryl. And of course, the reunion with Maggie – back from an exile of several years – may bring back to the fore these buried grudges, although never forgotten.
“He’s done some good things. But all of a sudden Maggie comes back, and he’s back to square one.” Jeffrey Dean Morgan confided on this subject in an interview with TV Line. “It’s an unpleasant situation for both characters: Negan is frustrated, and Maggie is upset that this guy is out of jail and is in better shape than when they last met.”
As a reminder, the last season of The Walking Dead has been exceptionally extended to 24 episodes (the previous ones only consisted of 16 episodes); its broadcast will also be divided into three parts, thus extending the pleasure for fans of the horror series.
