Warning, spoilers! At the end of episode 14 of The Walking Dead season 11, Daryl’s one-time girlfriend Leah (Lynn Collins) returns badass as usual. But was that revealed at the beginning of the episode?
The new episode of the eleventh and final season of “The Walking Dead” picks up where the previous episode left off: Commonwealth enforcer and ex-CIA man Toby Carlson (Jason Butler Harner) makes short work of the residents of an apartment complex allegedly stealing weapons from the Commonwealth.
As has been suggested and is now being unequivocally confirmed, Carlson’s information is incorrect. In the final scene of the new episode (which takes place two weeks before the current main story), we see who was really responsible for the gun truck heist: Reaper soldier Leah. However, attentive “Walking Dead” fans may have noticed that the name of Leah actress Lynn Collins already appears in the credits, which can always be read after the opening credits of the zombie series.
So was Leah’s comeback revealed beforehand in the new episode? The short answer: No – at least not really…
Lynn Collins is a permanent member of the “Walking Dead” cast
THAT we’ll see Leah again before The Walking Dead ends was pretty clear after her Reapers were killed, but Daryl (Norman Reedus) let their new leader go due to their shared history. However, whether it would be in the current part of the season aka season 11B, or only in season 11C, which will be broadcast later in the year, was still in the stars – until now.
Leah’s reappearance at this point comes as a bit of a surprise, despite the credits mentioned. The fact is that Leah actress Lynn Collins, after her first appearance in the add-ons of season 10, has now been made a permanent part of the supporting cast of The Walking Dead in season 11.
This also includes that she is now part of the cast of actors that are currently listed in every episode after the intro – regardless of whether the individual characters actually appear in the respective episode.
That’s how Lynn Collins’ name was read in the previous four episodes where Leah wasn’t even a topic. The fact that she will return in the new episode was in no way anticipated by the credits, even if some might have guessed that Lynn Collins’ name there may have only now caught their attention. The fact that Collins wasn’t removed from the credits after her temporary “quit” was at least a hint that we’ll be seeing her again sooner rather than later.
